I don't understand why they still use the word at all it is a horrible word. but a black person calling another black person the word is just seen as banter. but ofc a white person saying it may raise some eyebrows as the history of white people using that term in the past. even if they mean no harm by saying the word it is simply instinct to be offended. so unless you have known the black person for a while and feel he wouldn't be disrespected by you saying it I dont feel as if it should be said. but thats just my opinion

Depends on the context I suppose. Also nigga (according to my black friends) isn't offensive at all, it's more of a friendly term although I still think that's stupid AF. Nigge* on the other hand is obviously very offensive.

"Nigga", period, is so fucking stupid and I am clueless to why so many people use it.

I'm black, and I was raised that calling some one that meant "ignorant black person". It's so ignorant of black people to think "nigga" is a form of greeting. I was taught "nigga" derives from "******", whuch we all know is a very low racial slur more commonly used during the slave days & now we are using a slang form of it as a greeting and name to call each other and that is beyond fucking stupid and people should wake up.

Personally, I don't care what race you are. You can say whatever you want and the word is only bad if you give power to it, even thiugh I still think "nigga" is stupid. I don't mind if a white person calls me "nigga", most of my friends are actually white & say it more than me.
