Good compilation, but I personally don't agree with the list.

There is no "best" anti-virus, it's all up to one's opinion. Different AV's have different perks, some work well for others depending on what they use their computer for.

Good share, nonetheless.

@Silver, it is definitely opinion based to some extent.
But some anti viruses are better in many ways than others.
NOD32 has the most advanced database as it is one of the few AV's that has certain polymorphic snippets added to its database.

I completely agree with you. Same are better than others, but there's isn't the "best" one.

I am very fond of ESET NOD32, Avast!, Avira, Kaspersky. I used AVG, and never had problems with it, but I like Avast! better.

The main issue with AVG which is supposedly fixed was an issue of uninstalling it. For a while it was considered a rogue AV.

you are right, uninstalling it was a problem, had a computer once which I try uninstalling AVG and it won't let me, later I found out I had to go on the website and download a tool which then allowed me to completely remove it from that PC.

using more than one anti-virus protection can cause problems, with your computer's security. It's can confuse the security center, and cause problem with the firewall, so be-careful with the amount of virus protection you are using at once.

I think McAfee is bad, I hate it and it can cause lots of trouble, when looking at the internal makeup of the program.

RE: [Top Seven Anitivirus Protections]

I am currently using ESET/NOD32. And I am liking it so far. It has a good definition rate. And I cannot describe this all so well, but it runs really quietly. Like when it comes to detection wise. Only about 1 week into really using it though. But, I have to say as well, it's alot better than AVAST! free version (pretty sure that's version 5). Although, I did like the settings on AVAST.

I really do want to try out Kaspersky. I've heard soo many good reviews on it, just makes me super anxious. Although, I've also heard that they're pretty good on keeping keys blacked out if theyre not legit. So, I gotta work with that.
