Gender VS Sex

Excellent thread. Many people fail to recognize the pronounced differences between sex and gender. I am not sure if they are simply unaware of the differences, or if they choose to neglect the differences.
Sex has two main categories; female and male. A female can bear offspring and produce eggs, while a male can produce spermatozoa which is inseminated to fertilize eggs and produce offspring. Shorthand: Females bear offspring and males aid in producing offspring.
Gender, however, is often associated with three categories; femininity, masculinity, or a cross between the two, which is commonly labeled as neutrality. In other words, females can be masculine and males can be feminine. Males are generally deemed feminine through feminine mannerisms and speech patterns. People who are not comfortable within their sex or feel they do not belong suffer from Gender Dysphoria. A person born with a penis, male genitalia, and other physical attributes of a male can feel unconformable within their male body and they choose to label themselves as a female because they believe that is their true identity and would like nothing more than acceptance from their opposite sex. Their sex will never be female. The same goes for females that deem their true identity to be male. Gender Dysphoria is not in any way, shape, or form associated with homosexuality. You are an imbecile if you have ever deemed a transgender as being homosexual.
I can only imagine how it would feel being born a male or female, but feeling discomfort every time I look at my body parts. It is enough discomfort to cause severe anxiety and depression and it often leads to suicide to many of those who are uncomfortable within their body. It amazes me how ignorant people are that choose to ridicule those who are suffer from Gender Dysphoria. Most people who suffer from any gender identity disorder do not randomly decide that they are uncomfortable with their body out of the blue, most of them have felt this way since they were very young children. They sometimes discover their gender identity disorder as a toddler.

If you are that passionate about the plight of the transsexual in this day and age, why don't you actually attempt to help those who are actually segregated? I simply do not like seeing ignorance like the accounts I witnessed on this site being used so frequently, because clearly some people did not know the difference between gender and sex. One of those "shithole" countries is the United States of America. The same country that is still full of racist, homophobic, bi-phobic, trans-phobic, etc, people. It's people like you and some of the others I have seen here that are the reason trans-gendered people are so afraid to make a change in their life, to actually feel comfortable in their own bodies.
