This little guide will help you start off not only on the right foot to ensure you have a fair amount of knowledge of ForumKorner but to also keep you going and strive on here as a successful member, given you take some advice the right way and keep yourself in check along the way. [/font]

[font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]I'm not going to straight out insult your intelligence and state it is a forum. Obviously all of you know that much if you are here. I'm mostly going to go into it in more detail, break it open and explain what exactly you signed up for. This forum was made for the purpose of basically becoming a family, as the banner says. General forums are more about relaxing, learning and making friends along the way. Everyone has their reasons of signing up to forums such as for example:[/font]

Don't forget that before you can walk you crawl, before you run, you walk. Mix them up and you will tumble. This is actually a pretty friendly community if you come off with the right attitude and don't act like your shit doesn't stink. Mostly, people treat others in which they would like to be treated themselves. So let me just give you some hints of what you should and shouldn't do.[/font]

  • [font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]Read the important threads of the sections, also known as stickies or pinned threads.[/font]
  • [font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]Put some thought into your posts.[/font]
  • [font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]Make friends. This will make your experience here much better.[/font]
  • [font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]Try not to make enemies, if you do at least use the ignore feature.[/font]

ForumKorner News - You will find all the official news about ForumKorner here. 
Questions & Suggestions - If you have a suggestion you think will benefit the site or have a question you wish to be answered, post it here. 
Official Support - Great for when you need official support that FK staff can answer.
Rules - A must read, threads in this section will benefit you greatly.
Marketplace - A place to buy/sell. A lot of users wishes to make money or spend money will find it useful.

I'm going to bring some light more into the marketplace as it does effect a good chunk of the users, as brought up by @Random The marketplace should be used with caution as you do not know who you are dealing with. Suggestions before you deal in this section as as follow:
  • Get a middleman. 
  • Research the user you are trading with.
  • Read important threads in the marketplace before any deals.

Always be safe and cautious before doing any deals on FK. If you don't wish to do deals with real money, you can always use the forum currency called "Koins." The section for these deals can be found here:

Koins are very nice for those who don't have money and would like to sell them or even buy them for certain things. You can do a few things with them, in which you earn by contributing to the forum by being active, basically. You can see exactly how to earn the Koins below:

If you look on the left side of that page, you can see you can do a few things such as:
Donate - Give members Koins.
Subscriptions - Buy an Onyx subscription.
Buy User title & Name - Change your user title and/or name if you aren't upgraded.
 
Pages
Upgrade - To support the forum and get more benefits of being a member.
Donate - Give ForumKorner some money with nothing in return. (Except a few awards.)
Support - Commonly known as the help documents. You will find a lot of useful information.
Forum Staff - Where you can find the staff team. Note that Power+ is not staff.
Awards - See all the pretty awards you can achieve on here.
Legal Notice - Make sure you read this, very important.
Bans - Look at all the people who didn't follow this guide (Haha. Just kidding.) But everyone who has broken the rules, faces the consequences.

Conclusion
I'll most likely update this thread in more detail later on. But I'd like to thank you for reading and if you have anything to add, like always please message me and I'll update the thread. Hopefully making new users feel more comfortable around here.

Thanks everyone. I will keep this thread updated and I do have more ideas to add to it, and break down certain things that new users may be uncertain of. But overall, if you want to add anything, let me know and we can build this thread into something better than what it is right now.

I don't use the Marketplace much, but if you let me know what terms you are talking about, I'll certainly add them so they are aware when reading the thread. If you think it will be beneficial to them.

I see new members posting scam reports daily. It'd be nice if you could briefly highlight the importance of a mm at least and tag one or two.

Maybe a new member will see it and use a mm when doing their first deal and it'll save them money on scams and keep the community happy.

Just a suggestion, you've slready done an excelent job with this thread. Cheers

Thanks for the suggestion. I have added some details on the marketplace, showing more sections in which they could use before making deals and trying to push them to understand more.
 
Update:
I have added what Koins are for, to an add on about the Marketplace for users who wish to know what Koins can do overall, giving a slight better understanding about them. As always, if you have a suggestion, don't hesitate to let me know either Via PM or on this thread.
 
Update:
Fixed some grammar mistakes and added a few things. Might add some more things on groups and the like shortly after some more GTA.
