Developing a Lax Game...

Since this seems like a untouched area in gaming I want to think about making a lax game. I saw the trailer for Lacrosse 14 and they are going to attempt to develop that game, and my dream was always to make a game like Madden or 2K or FIFA. I know the cost and it wouldn't be cheap but if I was able to generate these funds (Lots of pledges on multiple pledge sites) would you guys like to see and up and coming LaX game, like LAX 14 or Crosse 14. Ideas? I like the idea and please dont hate and say that is a shit load of cash because a lot of games started with pledges and now are multi billion dollar companies because of one good idea and LOTS and money involved.
 
You could make a lot of money by doing this but, there wouldn't be THAT big of an audience. Not a lot of people watch lax. More of a highschool/college sport.

Yes I could I want to be a entrepreneur even before I graduate. I see a large audience for HS & College and the people that wish it was a bigger thing on TV. I want to be that up and coming person, starting middle class and hitting the top. I mean I dont expect ANYTHING out of this for at least 1-5 years or even more. I just in-visioned this.
 
I want a Lax game to come out so bad. I have been playing for 6 years as a goalie!

Well if this comes to life as I truly want this to, funds will be key. If you want a LaX game that feels like a Madden or FIFA it will cost around 200k. (I will post on Kickstarter and Pledgie etc) but this is like my dream.

Same. It could be like fifa. Some people do not play or really like soccer, yet they love fifa.
 
There is a indy game on xbox indy games for lacrosse. And pretty sweet you play Lax. I've been playing for 11 years and play for my highschool. Im the team captain, what kind of stick you got? I got a Tri Kor (Local maryland brand) and a NOZ head. At one point it was the lightest head you can buy. People would buy LAX games imo. I've never played or watched a game before, and I'm already excited just hearing about it.

I dont play this year but i might play as a freshman next year (Yes im 14 deal with it) as a middie and im also going to play QB in Football. My friends play LaX at a different school because my school doesn't offer it, but it sounds really fun so im gonna play next year.
 
People just aren't into LaX since it's not a big sport. Only way this will succeed is with good graphics, great gameplay, loads of features, and most important, tons of advertising.

Actually, thats not true. There already is a INDY game for Lax. And lacrosse is HUGE on the east coast where I'm from. Its bigger than football. Its just that the rest of the country is too pussy to play it,

but for a game to be up there with madden, fifa, and 2k it can't just be popular in one region. my whole county doesn't have a LaX team. LaX just isn't a nationwide spectacle like the NFL and NBA

Honestly it is a bigger sport than you are making it out to be, its a national sport and MANY people love the sport, it depends on who you are around. ;)
 
I'm a junior and I've been playing since 7th grade. Being a middie sucks at times but I still love it. If the theoretical game was good I would probably buy it as long as it's on Xbox.

That is our goal, PC,360,PS3. Then if its a hit, to hit the next gen consoles ;) One step at a time though.
 
Ehh $200k. I do believe you can do it if you wanted to. Money always is the issue.
