I don't understand how most people here wear all of these dumb basketball shoes. They are the dumbest "trend" ever and I still don't understand why they still exist other than the fact that they are used to play basketball. Most of you probably don't even play sports and don't feel like scuffing your $300 pair of shoes. It's a waste of money and the only people who wear it are begging for attention. Being a sneakerhead is the most overrated thing in the world. If you actually want to show off how much money you have, buy some nice casual shoes rather than a pair of shoes that all the n*ggas in the hood would wear.

Tl;dr: basketball shoes are overrated, a waste of money, and feed attention whores.

Remember that this is just my opinion. Most of you won't agree, but I feel the reason to post as shoes are the dumbest thing to show off.

I understand your opinion, but respectfully disagree. I think you are talking purely about hypebeasts, who only buy shoes because of the hype, and for attention. I wouldn't call myself a sneakerhead, but I enjoy having nice shoes (mostly basketball shoes) and on a side note, I actually do play basketball, but even if I didn't I would personally understand the appeal of lots of these shoes, and understand why people who didn't play sports would still buy them. But yeah I think you are talking about hypebeasts, which I don't like either, because you should only buy a shoe if you like it, not because of the hype around it, or because it will get you attention.

If you don't like the trend, why wouldn't I? I make my own decisions. If I like the sneaker(s), I will buy them. I don't even know why you say that why we "sneakerheads" buy basketball sneakers and don't play sports. Ohh, please. Shut your yapping. Just because they are labeled "basketball sneakers," doesn't not mean they are mean't to be played in. I have a lot of sneakers that are uncomfortable to ball in. If I wasted more than $300 on a pair of sneakers, of course I will be worry if they get scuffed. I am not paying to fuck up something on purpose that I have purchased with my OWN money. So, what you are trying to say is, if you purchase something, you are going to mess it up deliberately? Who does that?
