Having an issue with my console connecting to Live.
I'm not too sure what to do as I've done mostly everything I can.

Just a note; I connected around 10 and created a new profile, signed into live and all that stuff. After signing out for a brief moment, I tried to sign in and this is when it started.

The issue is to do with my DNS and that it is not connecting with Xbox.
I started to troubleshoot but have had no luck.
I come to the lovely community of FK for assistance.

Things that I have done but get the same error:

Restarted Console (lol)
Switched from Manual (what I usually use) back to Automatic
Reset Network Options back to Factory Default
Used Google's DNS and another public DNS
Restarted Connection (twice) and flushed my DNS as well as assigned new IPs
Switched to my VPN connection

and have gotten the same issue continuously.

RE: Xbox DNS Issue

I usually reset to factory settings and it works most of the time. I used to have a huge problems with this back on the day.

Maybe try clearing out your system cache. That could help with something.

I haven't tried this but I heard about something like this.
I'll try it now.
___
Gr, did not work.

Well idk what to tell you. I don't know why it wouldn't work. Like I said, this happened to me and sometimes it wouldn't work for hours on end. Xbox is literal cancer.

RE: Xbox DNS Issue

Still need support on this, please !
I'll reward someone with $$ if they can fix this!

Is this on your retail or your Rgh

RGH. Retail connects fine. At 5 AM my RGH connected but after I restarted it redid the same issue.

have you tried using a wired connection ?

Besides trying my VPN, no. I don't suspect it is the issue because when it connected at 5 AM, it connected wirelessly. I'm trying wired tonight though. Any other suggestions?

ive had this problem what i do is unplug my router , wait 30 seconds , let it boot back up , once its booted back up i turn on my JTAG , after its turned on before you sign in , go straight to test your connection . usually works for me after that.

Hm, I've tried that but not in that order. Should I used automatic or manual setting? And should I reset factory default before doing it?

Alright. First chance I get, I'm going to try this.

@Raichu It didn't work, however I noticed something weird..
When I booted the console up without loading my launch settings, the console can connect all the way until Xbox says I'm banned.
But with my launch settings on, it goes to connect to internet (after modem part) and says DNS error.
I've tried putting in a fresh Launch settings but no luck.
