Guys stop buying it from people. I bought 2, wasted good money and they both got cancelled. I know I didnt want them but they will cancel it.

Im just saying, there is no way you will get to keep these consoles no matter what. Your just going to bring problems with Xbox and you. Just don't do it. Waste of time and money.

Hope you make the right choice, I made a wrong choice :/
 
The way I see it is that I get the console, don't open it for a month, if I don't get a personal bill to my door then I'm okay.
I'm scared that I will have to end up paying the $580 but that's why I'm not going to open the box for a month.

If you shipped it to your house i dont see you NOT getting billed. make no sense if you dont
 
If you shipped to your house, just say you never got it lol.
Or if you have to sign for it then you tell xbox that like your old xbox was emitting a terrible smell when on and your mother made you throw it out.

Didn't ship it to my house though. I took that initiative but if the house I shipped it to gets the bill, they know where to find me.

It's in my name though, so technically they'll just come over to my house and be like "here's your bill".
Edit: Whatever, If I get billed, then I get billed. I'm in a good financial position so I'll just buy it.
 
This is what you do. This is what a support agent told me. I might accept it and play it for a few days, then send it back.

I'm not going to spend any money on it until I've waited about a month. If there's a bill, I'll send it back. I'll call MS, make up some bullshit to see if they'll let me keep it, if not, I'll send it back. I couldn't cancel it before it shipped. It'll be here tomorrow, I'm nervous as fuck.

I'm keeping the Xbox stationed in the box it comes in for a month. I'm sure that if I have the box closed and never opened as well as some bullshit story, I'll be able to send it back.
 
What Are they going to do keep sending you bills? It's not like they can send debt collecters to 50,000 people. It will cost them more to do all that shit.

Very doubtful that they wouldn't. There's a shit ton of money lost in that. The Xbox bundle costs like $470 to make. They don't have a huge profit margin per Xbox, it's a pretty damn big loss. Several other companies send out debt collectors to more people than that, which I can assure you is a drastic overstatement. I won't be surprised if a bill is sent, which is why I've been thinking of what to do for the past few days.

It really not hard for Microsoft to call local DP on maybe a few hundred kids who did this. Microsoft has a lot of employees.

So I heard about people doing this sort of thing last year, no bills, no console bans, no nothing. We'll just have to see. I'll probably open the box because I'll be eager as hell to get my hands on it, but I won't have anything to plug it in to, I'll have no power supplies.
