the x-ray texture pack is pretty basic... it gives you a flashlight mod (never dark)

and it allows you to see threw non mineral blocks like sand, dirt and cobblestone

you can also select what other materials to turn off under the GUI

it works online as well!

so forum... is it good or bad?

I think it's bad because it give others an advantage. Cheating is no fun.

its not just for that cyber it could be used for other reasons as well as bad, for example what if you coverd your hole up with dirt and you loose the place its at? with xray mods you can see caves, not to mention you can turn it completely off from seeing ores,

I guess its okay, but don't use it all the time or you lose the feeling of nighttime and day time of the game :/

That's cheating in my opinon. It's ment to dig for things and you will be happy if you find diamonds etc.

I agree isnt there a tad joy in finding a diamond ore? just being like o there it is is kind of like o look more cobble stone yeah........
But it is also helpful for re tracing your steps
