I tried buying a username (with my koins) and when i tried entering a new username, it said the name was taken. i then tried a diff username and it again said it was taken. When i went back to my koins, it said i had spent 4 koins or so on username changes

wtf

lol hope i can get a 'refund' or something haha
 
Hmm weird. I'd imagine @Philly would be able to see on the backend logs what happened anyhow.
Probably still deducts the Koinz even though the name already exists.
Hope you get it sorted!

this happens a lot with people that don't know
you need to check if the username is available before spending your koins

The real question is why are you paying Koins to change your name when you are an ungraded member and can change it free here: http://www.forumkorner.com/usercp.php?action=changename

PS it's a small glitch that has already been discussed and very low on the list of things that need fixed. As for username changes not counting with Koins I however will get that fixed immediately and hopefully will even make it to where everyone that has tried to evade the changes being displayed paying Koins will still have their previous changes displayed. Paying with Koins is basically for non upgraded users, not to evade displaying your previous aliases.
 
This has been asked sooo many times before... @Philly should probably add a disclaimer to the name change page.
