I downloaded this torrent a couple of years ago and I've never had a problem with the 32-bit (the one I use) until today.

Microsoft announced today that it has finalized the first maintenance update for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, Service Pack 1. The update contains a collection of minor updates and fixes that have been released for the operating system since Windows 7 RTMed in July 2009.

I tried installing the updated but I got this error.

Then I followed this guide;

and it led me to a 'hotfix' of some sort from Microsoft's website. I downloaded and installed it without a problem and then tried the update again but it still failed.

I know a lot of people will instinctively brush me off, telling me to buy a genuine copy if I want to not have issues but the reason I haven't done that is because on the 95th page of that torrent, there's someone that left the following comments.

Well since you torrented it, I would imagine you can't do valid updates.

Like I said, I haven't had a problem updating for more than 2 years. The copy is torrented, yes, but its clean. And I paid for a genuine key from another web-forum. The copy is genuine, technically.
