Windows 8 is currently installed on 1.72 percent of desktop computers across the world, figures provided by market researcher Net Applications indicate, but this data also confirms that Microsoft’s latest Windows contraption is a lot less successful as compared to its predecessor.

Windows 7 is currently the world’s number one operating system and as far as users of previous Windows versions are concerned, it’s their number one choice when it comes to OS migration.

But Windows 8’s 1.72 percent market share also reveals that Microsoft’s latest software is four times less popular than Windows 7 in its first year on the market.

Windows 8 was officially released on October 26, 2012 and recorded a 0.36 percent market share for the entire year. Windows 7, on the other hand, saw daylight on October 22, 2009 and reached a share of 1.47 percent during the same timeframe.

Windows 8

im personally a fan of windows 7. i just think windows 8 fits a tablet. and windows 7 is more laptop friendly.

I see no point in buying Windows 8 if you don't have the hardware that can support touch technology.

I would love to try windows 8. But aint nobody got the money for that.

I went to a computer store and tested out windows 8, personally i think it's garbage. It's weird and their is no start menu or nothing, just imagine the xbox dashboard on a computer. WALLAH! Windows 8!

I personally don't have it but people say it's trash and that Windows 7 is better so I think I'll stay with Windows 7 ;)

I saw this coming from when it came out.

McLovin sorry if this off topic but do you still have your youtube with the music? How is it going now man?
