So my question is, for what purpose do you hijack accounts? I'm not trying to impose morality, I'm asking quite the opposite - i.e. do you hijack accounts to transfer their items for personal consumption, or do you hijack accounts in order to profit in real life?

I do a bit of both, I like to hack and take the GP and use it for myself (sometimes I stock it on my mule for whatever reason) or I'll sell gp

I take the gp and if they haven't logged on in a while then I will sell there account for cheap or use it to spread.

It doesn't necessarily entail you keeping the account but I suppose it can - it literally means to 'seize' something illegally, which I think pertains to the process that we're discussing.

I've never hacked enough to say that I hack for real life consumption, so currently it is for in-game training etc. If I were ever to hack say, 2b, I would sell 1b, keep other bil to train, buy shit, etc.

hijacking in jagex's view could simple be going through someones dumped logs and you log onto 30 different accounts on your IP.

Yeah dude, back when gold prices were actually half decent. It's crazy that some people sell for 0.45c/mill, I can remember when it was like $2/mill.
