why women are backward?

Women are backward because in the context of Nepal women are not educated well because they think that if women are educated then they will be more intelligent then man.So women are made slaves and machine of reproduction, They are not allowed to participate in social activities health services. They are compelled to sit at home and do the works like cooking washing and mostly care their babies.
So women should be educated and they should be trained well in each and every field. What you think??

I do'nt think women are backward..in my area about 90%of womens are educated..and most of them are working in different fields

in many cases, since in the history of many great empires , they give a full important for men to build their civilization and they assume that women must be at home and take care of the kids instead. the culture had grown till now and some of the women is still like that .Compared to last time, today is better with many woman working .Hope it change in the future.

American Women are not backward. If they are it is because the men are afraid that they will outshine them and will not give them the same opportunities that they have.

Well the basic reason for women being backward is that the society was always a male dominant society that's the reason why women were left behind, and now men need the male dominant society to be as it is. Thus women are backward.
