Why the people get addicted to something?

We used to see the people those who addict to something. Some people addicted to alcohol, some addicted to drugs, some people are addicted to work all the time without rest etc., Why the people get addicted like this? Is there any reason?

addiction is a physical and psychological dependence on something the more you do it the more you become addicted its nothing wrong with you if you get addicted to something unless that something is drugs etc

People got addicted to something probably because they get pleasure doing it. Enjoying something is simply addictive. It's a form of habit that we can't stop doing. Sometimes we tend to do it because we get attached to it. At any rate, addiction to anything isn't healthy. There should be a point where we must detach from anything that we are addicted to. It's quite hard to do but needs determination. Keep in mind to do everything in moderation.

Let me add that some people are addicted to some online earning sites, like PTC , PTP and others and I am one of them. People get addicted to a particular because doing such make them happy, satisfy, help them and some deeper reason. Example, a boy who is addicted to computer game, and to mention one is my younger brother. Whatever we will do to stop him playing still he will sneak out from the house and play even at very late hours. We asked him why? He said, he was having some fun playing the games. Then, once I asked somebody addicted to alcohol. He said, it relieved him from stress and forget his problem. So, there are various reason why a person is addicted to particular thing and we are all subject to that addiction but only in different ways.

I think addiction is something people love to do the things, they do it. So healthy addiction is always good though i have some bad addictions too ! But you what its fun, i say !

ya they try it for enjoyment or to see if what happens when they do so but later they became used to to that

i think the main reason for addiction is frustration......and secondly the reason is their show off....... people wants to prove themselves fashionable, etc......these are due to modernization....
