Why do people criticize politicians for being rich? Whats wrong with it?

The media just want's to get a reaction out of people, and attention to there magazines. lol

It's because of society's teachings. They are part of a different class than us, so they do not understand us.

Personally I dislike the idea of politicians making a lot of money off of running our lives, censoring our thoughts and illegalizing our drugs and personal activities. If they got the money elsewhere I couldn't give a fuck.

The fact that they try to play off being like the common man to win an election. And then turn around to money an average Joe couldn't even dream of. Ye...

They take advantage of the capitalist system by trick the working class, and make money off them. That is why they are criticized.

It's like the politicians in the UK, claiming expenses from the tax payers money. One of them claimed around £2,000 I believe for a floating duck house on his pond.

Politicians are supposed to do the good for the country.
Not to use the nation's money for their useless shit.

If a broke poor man becomes rich, the poor hate him for making money.
If a rich guy becomes poor, the poor hate him for wasting money.
If a rich guy becomes richer, the poor hate him for "taking advantage of him"

In the end if you have money, those below you will hate you for it.

This is not true at all.
They receive money from the government as well as money from wealthy supporters.

- Wealthy people pay taxes as well.
- Loans from other countries.
- Not all wealthy people gained money from running/leading a corporation.
- Not all corporations have a large working class making minimum wage.

etc. etc.

You're right, I shouldn't have just jumped to a conclusion like that.
Although, I don't believe what you say about corporations, they do have a large working class making close to minimum wage, while executives make about 10x that.
