Hey forum,

What is your closest near death experience?

Mine was when I was biking with my bud down a street on my BMX and I was doing tricks when suddenly I lost control and the front of my tire went off the curb. At that exact moment, a car that was racing some other car came around a corner going a good 150km/h and it too lost control. The car's back end went limp and it started to slide towards where me and my bud were.

Thank god for my reflexes, cause I picked up my tire the minute I saw the car, and dove into the tress on the opposite side of the curb. The car hit the curb and almost killed my friend who had kept biking. The only thing that was between the car and the curb at that time was my bike. My bike was literally a piece of metal after that. The frame was bent like crazy, and the handlebar had come off.

Anyways so the car kept going. I have superhuman reflexes according to my gym teacher. With this skill, I did something quick to the driver. I gave him the finger and memorized his licence plate.

The guy is now in jail.

So what's your near death experience?

Dang WetRain, I wasn't aware that you are were Ninja.

I was swinging on a vine from a tree with my friend. This was a dead tree, but I was younger and didn't really care. It was fun while it lasted. Well my friend and I hopped on the vine after many times of swinging, and I heard a crack, and before I knew it the tree was falling directly towards me. Stupid me I wanted to get my bike before running to get away. I was 2 steps away from that tree crushing me, and I'm glad I saved my bike :3

Closest near death experience eh, be prepared for a long one.

When I was 14, I was a diehard for skateboarding... did it every day I could.

Well, I was skateboarding down this huge cobblestone hill in front of our mall and you can get going pretty fast... especially when your bearings were as slick as mine, lol.

Well anyways, I was flying down this hill and it cuts into a courtyard. Right at the path exit into the courtyard, there is a curb/ledge you need to get over. Well, I thought I had ollied high enough to make it over, but my back trucks caught the ledge bring my skateboard to a complete stop.

Of course, when the skateboard stopped dead in it's tracks, it launched me about 4-6 feet and causing me to land on my side. When I landed, my elbow dug underneath my ribcage (on the left side) and I slid on it for about 3 more feet.

When I landed, I instantly stood up, winded as fuck attempting to catch my breath. After about 5 minutes, I could finally breathe again and my buddy was asking me if I was alright. I replied yeah, as my shoulder was the only thing hurting, but I felt really weak. So we decided to head back to his place which was about a 2 KM walk.

When we got to his place, I decided to lay down, but I couldn't get comfortable no matter how I was laying down. His mom came in and I asked if I wanted to go to the hospital, and me being stubborn said no. She then told me she was going to take me home because I was turning really pale and I didn't look well.

After getting home, my parents asked me where I was hurting and I once again said just my shoulder... as that was the only place I was experiencing pain. So they didn't think much and told me to just lay down since I didn't want to go to the hospital. Well, that lasted for about 5 minutes before I was this excruciating pain and finally forced myself to go down to the hospital.

Once there, the Triage nurse checked me out and said she couldn't determine what was wrong with me and to wait out in the waiting room.

I was there for about 3 hours before I started feeling sick and I went into the bathroom. I sat down on the toilet and all I can remember is feeling really dizzy. I started puking up blood everywhere and my mom could hear me puking. She called in the nurses/doctors and they couldn't get me to respond. They started jumping over the stall and crawling underneath in an attempt to get the door open.

Once they had me out, I was covered in blood and I had lost ALL colour in my skin. I was thrown in a wheelchair and rushed to a room. They did a few tests, did an ultrasound and came to the conclusion that I was bleeding internally.

I had ruptured my Spleen in 4 places and nearly tore it in half. The reason I was feeling pain in my shoulder is because all the blood had nowhere to go and I guess it just goes the shoulder causing a lot of discomfort.

They decided to leave my Spleen in and let it heal on it's own... well that was a 3 week process of me laying down in a bed in the hospital eating their shitty food. After the 3 weeks, they let me out and I was back in a week because my Spleen had opened up again. I was there for 6 more days after that before my final release.

Then, after all of that... I had pneumonia. I guess from me healing and laying down the whole time caused some fluid to build up in my lungs so I had to go back so they could keep an eye on that.

It took another 13 months and I was right back on my skateboard =).

Was pretty fucking scary to think about though, because the doctor said if I had fallen asleep at home, I would have died... so I guess it's good that the pain was so much that I went down there, lol.

I chocked on some massive metal bar I was chewing. (don't ask) I coughed for a good 30 seconds before I flew out and I could breath.

Just today I got dog piled on and passed out at school.

Win.

That's pretty crazy bro. I skateboard, but I'm not that diehard, I just go for the tricks not the speed.

Yeah, it was pretty insane, even to look back on it.

I skateboarded for since I was about 10 until I was 16... then I got into drugs and skateboarding kind of just stopped, lol.

There was another time, where we were all drunk. I was 18 at the time and we decided to go out to get some fast food.

Well, I don't know about the weather down there, but we were having a "flash freeze" winter storm. Every main road had about 4 inches of ice with about a foot of snow on top of it and was literally impossible to drive on.

We had to go down this lonnnggg as road, and it's completely straight, so my friend who was driving decided it would be funny to kick it up to about 80 KM/H. Well, obviously the dumbass control and we go swerving into the middle of the road.

The car then turns about 45 degrees and we go straight into the ditch. Now, this was a steep ditch, almost like a "V". The nose of the car hits the pivot in the ditch and flips the car upside down.

We got out because my buddy in the back boots out the door, as it was the only exit available... the rest were buried in too much snow then windshields were resting perfectly on the banks of the ditch.

When we got out, we ran... lol, leaving my dumbass friend with his car. He wanted us to flip it out of the ditch, but it was impossible.

Fun times.
