I am making this guide because I was just getting DDOSed and thought atleast I know how to stop it.

Many people do something to piss someone off and then they will start DDOSing them because they pissed them off. Most people have no clue on what to do and they just try to wait it out.

It is really easy just follow these steps:

1. Restart your computer by holding the power buttton on it, not by pressing the button.
2. While the computer is off go and reset your router, just unplug it and plug it back in.
3. Turn computer on and use normally.

That is all you need to do to stop a DDOS attack on your IP

Well that's only if you have a dynamic ip.

If you have a static ip, then ur pretty much screwed.

My ip changes, good thing too :p

Thanks for the share mate.

or you don't be retarded and get your IP found out.
VPN = win.

Comcast is the only ISP that I know of that uses a static ip. I'm lucky mine is dynamic.

If you have a static ip, it won't change and you'll still be getting ddosd, BUT you can hide your ip or mask it so they can't grab it or it might show a non working ip so you can't possibly be ddosed, look up the software it's really good. It's skiddie proof, I get alot of kids like Ima ddos you so hard, and I just say go ahead. Abd watch them fail.

If you have got a static IP, just call your provider, and tell them what's happening. You'll get a new IP

there should be a way to change your static ip to a dynamic ip in your router's configuration webpage

Is it possible for your IP on your VPN to be DDoSed? Like, for them to boot your VPN offline?

there are a lot of static ip providers.
you don't need to restart the computer. just unplug and plug the router.
