I'm curious as to what goes through your mind while you help somebody. I do not want you to lie and do the go to answer of " I don't think about it, I just help them " because most of you do not fall under this category of somebody who just gives without expecting anything in return. If you don't understand what I mean by this, just say in the thread and I will do my best to clarify.

I kindly help someone to an extent. After I while, I get irritated. I also expect a "thank you" upon completion.

You may not be consciously aware but even if you think you're doing it out of the kindness of your heart but in reality you get a certain amount of gratification of helping someone and doing it for gratification can be considered selfish.

What goes through my mind is that I want absolutely nothing in return. I only want the notoriety of doing something good for helping others out when they need it most. I also think to myself that, even if I am having hard times myself, there are always people who will have it worse than what you will ever go through and that is what drives me to do my hardest work to help others all the time. It is just in my nature I guess... I never have turned anyone down when they ask for my help, and I never plan on it.

All that being said, If anyone needs anything or somebody to talk to, know that I am always here.

I am no perfect Saint here, sometimes I do help just to help them without any hidden agendas but we have all obviously wondered if we would get any reward in return, but truthfully, I mostly help without expecting anything in return, eventually I'll get the help I'll need too.
