Having a job where you sometimes have a busy week or no job at all?

I am stuck at a minor crossroad.

Yeah but in the including this week out of the last 3 weeks, I only have worked for 3 hours. debating on quitting it.

Any job is better than no job. Keep it, if you want, apply elsewhere and leave that if you find something better.

It's a part time job but when where I work has no orders, I have no hours ya digg?

I have another job lined up except I need the money to pay for the licensing but my hours I get barely cover the gas so I can't get the other job.

Yeah but when you have to spend the money you are trying to save for gas to get to the next job and not having any actual income really sucks especially now that I owe $1800 in court fees

Having the job is better.
You will cherish your time off, make money, and be productive.
Just a few reasons.

If gas is costing you almost as much as you're getting paid then you're doing something wrong. You should consider looking for something closer to where you live.

Skunk I only make $8/hour and the place is 14 miles round trip. But when you don't have the hours like the last 3 weeks I will have made a stunning $19 and change after taxes are applied. You can't live off of $19 a week and still have money to put in gas.

It costs me roughly $5 to get there and back.

Its better half way you talk to your manager about how you need this day off or you say you cant work that much. Then you get you time and work time :)

In my opinion, having a job is always more beneficial than not having one.
