When they say they just want the acc that means they dont care for the tag . You can just swap it to a free acc and keep it for yourself. Now when someone wants the tag you just swap your tag onto a free acc and give it to them.

well you would need at least 800 microsoft points on the account you want to change the gamertag of and from the guide button go to profile and change gamertag. then change it to something else. then just make another gamertag that will have no xbox live (silver) or if you choose to put gold on it. then you will get one free change on that gamertag to go and get the other gamertag. hope that helps

Involves money and effort. Some people will sell their main accounts that may have an oG but they use 800 MSP to change their gamertag and on a fresh silver they use a free name change to secure the gamertag again.
