well you would need at least 800 microsoft points on the account you want to change the gamertag of and from the guide button go to profile and change gamertag. then change it to something else. then just make another gamertag that will have no xbox live (silver) or if you choose to put gold on it. then you will get one free change on that gamertag to go and get the other gamertag. hope that helps
