What do you listen for in a song?

Question in the title. I personally listen mostly to the guitar in songs; however, I do listen to the drums occasionally. I really don't care much for the singing, bass, or piano. I've listened to some songs hundreds of times and still don't know the words to them. I hear them singing, the words just don't register in my mind.

So what do you listen to in a song? Singing, drums, bass, guitar, etc... Or do you not even listen to anything in specific? I've thought of this before and want to know.

I go for if I like the song or not, no matter the genre, for the most part at least. My general taste sways towards screamo/metal and dance/techno, but there are some rock songs I like and so on.

Oh, sorry, uhm, most of the time yes, but sometimes it is the overall sound of all the instruments. For example, the song could have great vocals, but shitty guitar and it would kill it for me, or any other combination of instruments.

Depends on the genre.
In electro and house music, it just has to be a crowd-mover and make people wanna dance, with some decent bass. Same thing with dirty dutch music; has to be catchy. In dubstep, I usually love hard bass with nice rhythm.
In death metal, the vocals have to be decent, with clean double bass drums.
