I'm searching to figure out if there are any things I can't do which are worth mentioning.

I was thinking the same thing. I would suggest doing the one month method. What you have to do is click the link where you make a free account with a one month and then call them and tell them you want it on a different account. It took me 3 calls to finally get a token.

Who the fuck said anything about calling? All you have to do is go to a link, then click next, enter your paypal/cc thaen continue onto your one month for free, after that just turn off auto renewal so it doesn't charge you for the month after
