A tenure is how many years your account has been gold consecutively. So if you have it gold for 9 years, and let it go silver for a week you are losing your tenure, and its starting from 0 all over again.

It happened to me and i was wondering about it, but i only had a 1 year tenure so i guess its gucci.
 
I lost a 2 Year one for no reason but its always have had gold on it and lost it while it had gold on it. They might be doing an update with it, idk tho.
 
Yeah I lost my 4 year tenure today as well. I am thinking there either is a glitch in their system or they changed the way they count tenures. I will start looking around.
 
I will never understand why people give a shit about tenure....as if the higher you are the more special powers Microsoft gives you or something...
 
It may very well have something to do with the 10 year anniversary coming up. M$ in the past said they will be handing out awards to members who have had accounts for a long time. Maybe this has something to do with it, they are updating something.
 
Thanks man i was talking to some dumb girl on live support she said there's no known current problems with this like lol yea there is most peoples are gone my friend had a 9 year and 300k gamerscore and his is gone

Well if it is a update i will still be mad because there was CC glitchs on my account a while back so in my billing history there was know gold bough back in 08 and 09 it says only 10 and above

but mean while i have achievement unlocked at o7
