Maybe so new users feel more comfortable making deals we can add a "verified user” award or symbol in a seller's profile.

We can put a check mark in the end of the seller's name or give them an award or something.

I don't know, it's just something I thought of in the shower and I thought it could be cool.

Philly had a verified group in mind, where you'd have to privide him with all personal info, etc. to hopefully prevent scams, but it fell through. I agree, this would be cool.

I do believe this would prevent scams, however no personal information can be proven valid over the internet. With PayPal, they will either

• Send a letter to your "address" with a code inside and instructions on how to validate it, however anyone could use a drop house.
• Phone Verification: Easily exploited using the "pinger" application.
• Providing legal documents: These can be easily faked.

As you can see, there is no way to validate any personal information, and I doubt even legitimate people would give out their real information anyway. What I am thinking in terms of qualifications, is

• 200+ Positive Vouches
• 20+ Deals with @Philly that have gone successfully.
• Never have had a scam report opened on you.
• Never been banned from this forum for any reason
• Less than 5 warnings given

I believe these would be the best requirements for this group we are speaking of.

Just go by people's vouch threads.

If Philly wanted to implement this, I'd even be willing to make a plugin that added a checkmark like in Twitter. You'd go to the User Profile in admin settings and check a box that said like "Verified?"
