I think this is a silly debate, but it popped into my head...so here it is!

Do you think it is better to be a vegetarian or a meat eater? Hell, I'll even throw vegan into the mix! Why do you think it is better?

Also, what do you prefer? Do you think other people should be one of these? etc.

Let the debate commence!

Here is an article written by a vegetarian:

Here is a small part of their argument:
"And this is usually where someone gives me an earful about how good meat is. Well ok if you like the taste and that’s your argument fair enough. But they do say that pig flesh is said to be like human flesh…Would you be comfortable eating a human? I didn’t think so. But why is there such a stigma around eating human flesh? At the end of the day it’s just flesh right? To me there is no difference between human and animal. We are animals. And no I don’t want to eat any kind of dead flesh and that includes humans. Although I would like the question answering as to why humans think animals are lesser creatures? And don’t say it’s because they can not communicate with us. We can’t communicate with them and as stupid as it sounds many animals don’t want to eat us.

A particular young man argued “well god created deer to eat grass and a lion to show us how to eat that deer.” So I replied but “What makes you think that the dear wasn’t showing you how to eat grass?” Do you relate to the dear or the lion? I have got a little side-tracked here but his particularly annoyed me, most of all because I don’t believe in a god per-say but that’s another debate."

EDIT:

Yes, I know their spelling of the word "Deer" as "Dear" is very annoying.

You have to eat both meat and vegetables to have a good balance in your body.

Although I prefer meat over vegetables. And I think people should eat what they want, I won't bother.

If we start talking about how eating meat is cruel and stuff, I honestly don't care. Many cows are raised in farms for that purpose, so it is okay to me. But if it was like, a random cow that wasn't grown in a farm or without the purpose of priving us humans with meat, I think that's cruelty. But I don't buy the meat so...

Hah, nice picture.

I am personally just what I consider a "normal" person. I eat pretty much anything. I love to eat meat and I'll eat a salad. I'm not going to go around and tell people what they should be eating, that is silly. lol.

However, I do enjoy to laugh at some people's views....even if that does seem or sound wrong to do. And when I say that, I mean it in the most sincere and honest way. For example, this person argued that animals don't want to eat us. I find that very funny. I think they should go out into a wild part of the Earth and sleep outside every night. They might change their opinion on the matter.

It is almost like saying, "Mosquitoes don't want to bite us to get our blood."

Yeah, I agree.
I'll eat almost everything that is put in my plate, doesn't matter if it contains vegetables or not.

Didn't read, but I couldnt live with out meat.

I'd consider becoming a vegetarian, due to the death of animals, but this wouldn't change a thing...and I also feel that meat is required for a healthy diet.

I love meat!!
