Anyone here at Uni (Aus/UK) or College (US/Canada) studying anything related to computers? If so, how is it and is it beneficial?

I'm looking to get into Bachelor of Computer Science majoring in Mathematics at University of New South Wales - only uni in Aus ranked in top 100 computer schools globally. It's either that, or software engineering, but CS sounds so much more theoretical which is beneficial in the end since I can apply my knowledge into diff. scenarios with much more depth.

Anyways, help me out here. :smitten:

The Elite;- I did an Honours in Advanced Computer Science and Programming - I now work as a Software Developer specifically for Financials.

£42,000 a year isn't a bad wage. If I hadn't have gone to Uni in the first place, I wouldn't be where I was now.

Please go, otherwise you'll regret it!

I am also applying for computing science at Edinburgh university this year :3
Just need to wait for my exam results to come in :/

I'm sure you'll do fine! ^^
I always used to worry, but it never did me any good.

Go out for the Summer and enjoy yourself.
That's an order too. :)

I'm doing a level 3 IT course now at College, then off to UNI to do Computer Science after I complete my second year.
I can tell you in about 4 years :)

>me with 10+ years of experience
>not in a Computer Science course yet
>Only have a diploma in ICT Competence at level 2.

Fuck you, world.

As for you, TE. Do it.

New South Wales? Why do foreign countries insist in stealing UK names - we're crap! Don't be like us!

That tends to happen with a country that owned half the world at one point in time.
