[Tutorial] How to Customize Icons [Mac]

Hello I'm going to show you how to customize your boring icons to awesome ones.

Firstly you'll need to download Candybar. That is just the trial version, I have the full version link, but I don't think I can post it here.

After you've installed Candybar, you'll need to get some icons to replace the boring ones you hate so much (You can make your own icons, but I'll save that for another day). Here are some good sites*:
*Note- There are more sites, these are the ones I use.

So once you have your icon(s) you'll need to import them into Candybar. It's very simple, all you do is drag the icon into the "My Icons" section shown here:

So once you've imported your icon(s) you'll need to find the application's icon that you want to replace. So you go to the applications folder and scroll until you find the targeted application. Once you've found it all you need to do is drag the icon from "My Icons" onto the application's icon in the "Applications" section. Simple, right?

So you can see the two sections are conveniently located right next to each other.

You can also change generic icons [ex: folder, documents, apps, etc...]. To do this you go to the "Change system Icons" section shown here:

So there you have it, now you know how to change your icons on your Mac. If you need more help or don't understand something about this tutorial, feel free to PM me or just post here. Thank you for reading.
