tl;dr
I need smart opinions on whether or not I should get a $2-3k loan for 2 months before I go into the Military for a motorcycle. Once I'm in the Military I'll be making $1758 a month.

Okay, so here is the deal. I leave in 2 months for the Army, but I live everyday as if it was my last, so I tend to do things for the moment which CAN be bad. BUT. I've been wanting a Honda CBR 600 RR for the longest time, ever since I had my first dirtbike at like age 11. I'm 18 now.

Okay, the PLAN.
I want to ask my bank for a $2-3k auto loan for the bike I want. I'll pay the loan out in 3 years. So that's about $60-80 a month. As of right now I make $160 a month for just sweeping up my dads shop, so I can start paying before I leave for the Military. Once I get in the Army, I'll be making roughly $1758 a month. So then I'll start advance paying my loan out.
The reason I would get a 2k loan is because I'd put a $800-$1000 downpayment on the bike, then use the rest to pay monthly until I leave for the Military, as well as some cheap insurance as well just to last me until I leave. Once I leave, I'll get my bank set up to where it automatically pay's the bills of my bike for me.

That's just a rough draft of me thinking. I really need honest and smart opinions about this.
I am 18 years old with a contract for the Military, so I think it would be easy for me to get a loan, as kids get bigger loans than that for College and people in their 40's are still trying to pay it. But I'd only be asking for $2-3k to last me until I leave for the Military.

Okay, anyone want to give me feedback?

Oh, and this is the sexy beast I would want to get.

Something very similar to that :D

Only 1758$ a month?

Anyways, good luck on your loan, I got a 9k loan for a 2009 Chevy Impala SS, and it might feel like it takes ages to pay back, and people say it'll be there forever, but in the end you'll realize it was nothing :)

Respect for being the military.
