I got kicked out of boyscouts in february.

I lack finished one merit badge, and finishing my eagle project that I started working on before I got kicked out.

So basically, some simple shit.

I have ask my fellow scouts to get back in, they vote, if they say yes, I have to present myself in front of the committee to get back in. Then they vote.

Or something like that.

Anyways, the next time I messed up before I got my eagle would be my last time being a boy scout. Strict rules on me, etc.

not to mention boy scouts has made me hate camping. I really dont know if I want to get back in. I mean I heard that you regret it for your entire life, not getting your eagle, and I am so close. But damn do I hate scouts.

Should I finish? I mean I still have almost 2 years to get eagle. Input from RG?
 
How old are you? Why are you still in boy scouts? I thought that was for younger kids..
 
Well, what did you do to get kicked out in the first place.

I was a life scout before I dropped out, and I can personally say, it was one of the worst decisions I've made. Now of course my troop is complete shit but that's besides the point.

Being that you're only 1 badge away from being eligible for Eagle, finish that shit up bro. Seriously, it will be the best thing you've ever done.

You talk about making it into all the colleges..putting that you were an Eagle scout looks amazing on your college resume.

Yeah camping trips, summer camp and all that bullshit sucks, but believe me, it's worth it. One of my good friends is getting Eagle soon.

By the way, how old are you if you have 2 years left? As you can only get Eagle before you turn 18.
 
yeah dude, boy scouts is pretty gay, at least here in the UK it is. I'd much rather do a Duke of Edinborough. its probably a good thing you got kicked out, now you can become a man.
 
I did boy scouts forever ago and stopped around 3rd grade, probably 7 or 8 years old. I don't think you will be missing out on anything.
 
No cub scouts is for little kids.

And it doesn't matter what I did to get kicked out.

It's just I hate the shit. I wouldn't be forced to go on camp outs and camps and stuff, but they would expect me to. I just would try and get eagle as soon as possible.

And yes I realize that having eagle on my transcript would look good when applying for scholarships, but it ultimately would be something I chose not to do (get back in and finish) and so if it cost me a scholarship, then that's the consequence of me getting in trouble in the first place.
