Did anyone else buy or listen to Kendrick's new album "To Pimp A Butterfly"?

I'm a huge Kendrick fan so tell me what you think about it.

have not listened to it as of yet but have heard that it's good

It's alright. I'm a big KL fan. Some songs were a disappointment but others were alright

I haven't yet but I heard he made the album centered around a Pro-Black movement which I don't appreciate at all. It's like he gave all his white fans a big "Fuck you".

If a white person made a Pro-white album or song he would be labeled as a racist and people would have a hayday with him

I see what you're saying @Bomb but it's just him trying to express his opinions of how blacks are treated in the world.

Every other race goes through hardships aswell yet we don't bitch about them and harp on it forever.

I honestly really like it.
Too bad ignorant fake hip-hop fans seem to dislike it.
This album is somewhat different from K.Dot's normal style, with that said, I like the slight change.
It kind of brings back a groovy g-funk feel.
Some very catchy tracks and aspects, so I am a fan of the album.

Been a fan of K.dot since Section 80 and lemme just say that this album is very different from his last two. There's maybe 2 or 3 hard hitting beats/songs in the album, but i like that he took a step further and experimented with new things. I really like this new soul/funk record he brought to the table + that tupac interview had me so surprised near the end of Mortal Man. This album will definitely separate Kendrick's true fans and the hype fans from GKMC

Nah it wasn't homie, I'm not one to spread hate.
Just my opinion, take care.

Yeah I've talked to a few "fans" of Kendrick and they've said they didn't like the new album. You can definitely tell the difference between true fans of K and ones that just like his old shit. The new change is one I'm really glad he took because even though he will never get boring, it's always good to show off your different talents.
