Thought's on gay marriage and abortion?

RE: Thought's on gay marriage?

I mean I honestly don't care that much if gays get married, but it's Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

You can agree it's wrong to marry a 13 year old if I'm 18, can't you? And, you say it's "obviously wrong". Why is it wrong? Explain. People in Japan have been known to marry pretty much anything, including their pillows.
I know this is old, but if a 38 year old can marry a 33 year old then shouldn't a 13 year old be able to marry an 18 year old?

RE: Thought's on gay marriage?

It's not the issue of age difference but physical and mental maturity :p

There's no proof of Adam and Eve existing, so how is that argument valid?

Why are you bringing this up? I said it's legal in lots of states long as you have parental and or judicial consent.

There is no proof that they did not exist either. There are records of people existing in the 18th century so if books are not a reliable source then you are saying there is no proof that anyone lived before cameras were invented.
I was just saying my opinion, I wasn't trying to argue against you. Cause some people believe that a 13 year old shouldn't be able to marry an 18 year old.

That's the silliest thing I've heard in a while. It's quite obvious people were around before cameras. The Bible was created 2000 years ago and talks about mythical folklore and states it's true. I never implied all books are not reliable, I implied the Bible wasn't.

I know the people were there but it's not fair if you discredit one book and not others.

In his defense if you discredit the Quran you're going to get shot or hit with a plane.

It's not fair gays don't equal rights because homosexuality is shunned by society.

Lots of things aren't fair buddy.

RE: Thought's on gay marriage?

I like lesbians, they share a common attraction to women as I do. Gay people can get married. A lot of people are for gay marriage. The main reason for it being banned in California is because of mormons. They bribed, campaigned, spread rumors, and eventually got gay marriage banned in California. You should be able to marry anything.

I've never said anything either way if they are born that way or not. I never said they shouldn't exist either. I have several friends who are gay and though I disagree with their choice to be actively gay, I value them like a human like anyone else.

People with ADD are "born that way" yet we try to treat them. Why can't we help gays who want to be straight (they do exist, I know some of those too) without being labelled homophobe? Don't say it's a permanent thing, many people have changed sexual orientation. And if we aren't allowed to chane sexual orientation, why can we change physical sex (as much of a joke as that is)

You are comparing people with ADD to gay people. First of all, ADD is a disability, and therefore you are treating it like being gay is some sort of disability.

It's not a disability, it's just the way that they are born, and it does not need to be "treated", because there is simply nothing wrong with it. How about you just care about your life and stop judging others like you some sort of super-human. Let people live the way they want, why the hell should you be allowed to judge what is right and wrong in the world?

Their choice? It's not a choice... Also, why does anyone even care about if someone is gay or not? It shouldn't matter whatsoever. If someone has ADD, we try to treat them, yes. But treating gays? That sounds so dumb, and is just disrespectful. I personally don't understand why people care about someone finds attractive. I completely 100% agree with Comet. It's not fair that gay people can't marry.
Off Topic: I am Catholic myself (I think), yet I disagree with a lot of their standpoints, like Gay Marriage, and abortion.

Not trying to start a big argument, I just feel very strongly on this issue, and am expressing my feelings.

RE: Thought's on gay marriage?

I see there to be no problem what so ever with gay marriage. If one loves something or someone to a certain point of never forgetting them, they cannot help the fact that they are gay or straight. One can never be too sure whether they are gay, lesbian, straight, or bisexual until they experience one, or multiple of the feelings. It's impossible to change the factor love puts in.

RE: Thought's on gay marriage?

I have no problem with it, people are entitled to their own opinions, but I think it is completely acceptable for two people to get married of the same gender. It dosent affect us, so who does it bother so many people? People can love who they want to love. People say it's against the bible but when you look at it, divorce is also on the same level as homosexuality, yet people seem to be completely okay with it. What's the difference? Love is love.

...Seriously.

A heterosexual person can't just make themselves think they're gay and get the same results as an actual homosexual would. That test provides no supporting evidence.

Even if homosexuals aren't born gay, they should still be entitled to equality.

RE: Thought's on gay marriage?

I strongly support it, my best friend is a lesbian, (hot aFFFF) and she wants to get married, she is 19 and they're perfect for each other, whether it is a guy and guy, girl and girl, guy and girl, i'm for it.

Nothing will change if 2 "gay" people get married or kiss or even fuck . Idgaf. :p
