Thoughts on a GED?

I'm saying you can't find a prestigious job without at least a GED.

Umm what about building/construction? you don't need a high school graduation or anything.

I have mates that pulled out of school at 15 and 16, did an apprentice ship in building and now earn 2.5k a week and they are only 19.

most trade jobs will earn alot more then others that have spent years at school, you need to think away from your computers...

People think to make good money, you have to work in an office or be famous.

In England, most CEOs don't look at GCSE grades, (highschool) they look to see if you have any degrees. Some companies only let you work there I you have a degree.
Highschool grades are only there to open the doors for A level and A level for degrees. Highschool grades Arnt important past A level.
Once you're doing A level, you can get anywhere if you work hard.
You only get out what you put in.

Most four year institutions take a GED just like they would a HighSchool Diploma. So the only difference is for a job straight out of HighSchool or before you go to college, the employer is going to lean towards someone with a HighSchool Diploma more than a GED. That's honestly the only difference in my opinion and from personal experience.

If it's your only real option, then get a GED.
Try smoking pot for chronic asthma. It opens the capillaries in your lungs and helps you to breathe. It also helps to kill old and damaged lung cells, which in turn stimulates the generation of new healthy ones. I have asthma, and smoking pot helps tremendously.

My friend was telling me something about that, I am actually considering trying it. I'm going to buy a pipe or something for myself, then go to his house. He also said try and get a portable vaporizer. I don't even know what that is.

If you are smart enough to a) pass it, with flying colors and b) Hack it in college WITHOUT the 4 years, then go for it.

I'm going to take the practice test online, as well as studying. At the moment, I'm not even worried about college.

Grow a pair and finish high school, GED will not only cut your opportunities and social life.

Technically it's not thread trashing since he actually has his GED.

He's telling you not to make the same mistake he made.

If worse comes to worse, I can work for my grandfather's construction company, which pays fairly well and has good benefits.

I have asthma too, but I don't have it as bad as you. That sucks bro.

Anyways, I think GED would be a great idea.
P.S. hope your asthma gets better :(

Thank you for a real answer. Also, thanks for the hope. It will mostly get better soon. It makes me feel horrible during the winter and summer. Spring time and the Fall i'm okay, besides the fact of allergies going around.
