I lost my dad when I was 11. He was my best friend. It haunts me everday.

I share the same feeling as you. Uncertainty. I have heard if a few different COD's. I'm 19 now, so I csn legally attain a copy of his death certificate. I can do it whenever I want. I'm just waiting until I'm ready to accept what it says.
