The taken king DLC Question

HI,
Alright so I bought that legendary edition of destiny last week so I could just get the taken king when it comes out.
I am wondering if anyone knows if you need to be a certain level or have done the quests, I am only level 7 and I haven't really done much quests.

Most of the rewards you will receive from the Taken King quest will require level 34+ to equip/use.
Also I believe completing the quests will require level 34+ because of the high level enemies.
(This is just my guess but would make sense due to Taken King levels going to level 40.

I'd also be happy to help you through the storyline. Unless I'm mistaken, you will receive a consumable that boosts you up to level 25 if you have purchased Taken King, After that you will need to probably play some raids and shit to get up to level 34, then you can begin playing the Taken King missions and get the armor and rewards from those quests.
