Hello everyone
.
RuneScape today is now a bot infested money making method for the cyber-gang mobs over in China, But a few years ago back when RuneScape was enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of people daily to a new world was opening, Back when i started playing Runescape about 5 years ago i was 13. Now 18 the differences of RuneScape have seen past me, I had been there to recognize huge updates and changes to keep up with the never ending technology and gaming industry developing games to amazing levels.
Back 5 years ago just reaching into High School it was a privilege to own and train a RuneScape account, The internet in Australia was just becoming the next boom technology and living in a Rural area of country you were very fortune to enjoy such a thing, RuneScape was also in boom mode as the new Java based Online Game was getting vastly recognized by all age groups.
I was one of the many users of RuneScape to get addicted to the game extremely fast. There weren't too many computers that could preform good enough to keep Online Gaming interesting and enjoyable as Lag and computer graphics weren't what they are now.
Just getting into High School you still are in your developing years of education for the rest of your life... But where i grew up, Rural towns are 400kms away from a public school, So we were using Distance Education. A scheme funding by the government to use Radio Stations to send and receive signals from other stations 400kms away with a teacher using work sheets which were sent to you by the mail to communicate with questions and answers. But also living rural means you have cattle and country jobs, Animal mustering and maintaining so everyday there was something to do on the farm and you loose track of the education scheme(And only being new it wasn't encouraged a lot neither).
RuneScape was a daily addiction for me, I loved the game and the values it had. No where near the amount of skills available to train now but because it was a new thing it was amazing how a little world revolves around you and for people to notice from all over the world. Playstation never really did it for me, I guess RuneScape just kept those values about it that is now recognized globally as The No.1 Free Online Multiplayer Game.
In the addiction was something not even recognized for many years on, A thing that never would have occurred to me would help me my entire life. The game was addictive, Getting new friends and chatting about how good your stats are or how much GP you had, but it also was helping me. I started to talk with people more, and enjoy it so you want to start becoming more creative and fun. Adding smiley faces and using exclamation marks to express out loud and Full stops to end sentences, Selling items was manual back then so calculating was always a daily thing so you start remembering common calculations and solve maths easier to help you in the game, Player Mods were gods back then so you admired them and tried to be that God so you started talking to newbies and help them with a quest or some GP and acting more mature, Solving problems and researching answers..
But what was once an online game, Is now something i am soo proud to have been apart of. RuneScape made my childhood enjoyable in a Rural dry and hot place, And with that it had taught me things that I would not have learn't otherwise. It has helped me with Education. The greatest thing in life to preform and acheive. With this i keep with my for the rest of my life knowing I'm able to read, write, add and subtract and live with the city life of Sydney which i have recently moved to.
Thanks for reading, If you have any story's similar please do i encourage you to post it. Everybody deserves to know what the game we now use to trade, Make real cash off and enjoy really did for you.
