I keep hearing people say that they got these sweet tags because they got reset.How does a tag get reset?

On the contrary, it happens but with no specific date anymore I thought? Idgaf bout the resets besides my spaced tags because the tag I want reset is actually still active

After 7 years of a tag being inactive it gets put into a system that resets them. Kind of like a conveyor belt. When the tag is reset it will become available to the community again.

This system applies to ALL gamertags, not just originals.

I don't get that though. After 7 years are they mandatory for reset or is it just whenever MS feels like it. Iv'e been sitting on this tag for a while now & it's last played was 8 years ago, No reset yet.

I'm pretty sure it resets randomly. It may take more than 7 years in some occasions.

It won't get reset If its still active lol. try contacting the owner and see if you can make a deal.

OT: They don't have dates for resets, they're really just random. Except sometimes they'll reset tags with certain letters in them, such as when they reset a lot of tags containing "rape" and "spic" recently.
