okay so this has always been on my mind about staff and mods. Are y`all getting paid to watch over the forums? Any kind of staff do you think this should be a paying job if youre not getting money because it sounds like a pain in the ass to be staff. So ive always wondered is the staff just basically volunteering for is this considered a paying job. JW

I don't think the forum is in the position to pay staff members.

I agree with Amp, because although staff and mods aren't paid, they earn more of a respect or trust with the majority of the other members within the site... If you are mod or staff, you will automatically be more of a trusted member, and you will certainly be respected more by some members... Although there is a lot of work put in, there is some reward i'm sure

Absolutely not. It'd be like comparing your time and effort to money. Being staff is rewarding in itself. Accepting payment would be an act of shame.

You will find the people who staff and moderate the site are those who have a real passion for the ForumKorner community. They are committed and valued members from the day they signed up to the site and that is acknowledged enough for them to be granted such a responsibility. I can't recall the job being a pain in the ass, however I did have to co-work with Quad, who was a dictating bastard that tried to work me like his bitch.

The satisfaction of having leverage over members usually is rewarding enough than receiving pay.

I know on TTG you get paid quite a lot. But for FK its voluntary.
