Spring break for me was over like 4 or 5 weeks ago, I did not do much though. I just did the usual. Instead of a needed vacation. :/

Sadly no, but I will be able to go into the Pentagon next time I go to DC

I have 2 red rings every 5 min I play a game. I tried using a cooler, but still NO GOOD

You can take it apart, Cleaning i sometimes does the trick. Especially since you had it so long I bet its caked with dust so its hard to cool the xbox. You also possibly may need a fan replacement. Doing this, Beats buying a new xbox anyday. Good luck.
