Most forums have a ban appeal section for the banned member to state their case as to why they should be unbanned or their banned should be shortened.

Lately having been banned a lot, I think a ban appeal section would be very handy.

Post thoughts / feedback / support / not support.

RE: Ban Appeal Section

Thats what contacting the staff is for via email, yeah?

RE: Ban Appeal Section

They never respond and their personal emails aren't publicly available to members who have been banned.

This. The only downside is that there will be more work for the staff, i.e, posting stickies, rules, the format of appeals, etc..

RE: Ban Appeal Section

I agree with this idea. Tbh this is the only forum I've been and that doesn't has the ban appeal section.

Rules?
  • Only post here if you have been banned and you think it was a mistake.

Format?
When were you banned:
Why were you banned:
Who banned you:
Explain why do you think you should be unbanned or have your ban shortened:

Something like that would work.

RE: Ban Appeal Section

>Everyone agrees
>Never happens

RUNEGEAR LOGIC.

RE: Ban Appeal Section

Tbh, I don't even know where the contact form even gets sent to. I already suggested a feature to the development team that would change the contact form.

RE: Ban Appeal Section

I support this, it's a basic necessity for a forum.

RE: Ban Appeal Section

Keep the contact form but code it to make a thread in a GMod+ section. Then once the admins have agreed to a resolution, they can email the user back the whats going to happen.

The bad thing about a ban appeal section available to the public is you will get everyone who knows fuck all about the situation in there giving their unneeded 2 cents.

Uhm, maybe the only people that would be able to post there will be the banned person and staff.
