[SOLVED] Ban Appeal Section

Most forums have a ban appeal section for the banned member to state their case as to why they should be unbanned or their banned should be shortened.

Lately having been banned a lot, I think a ban appeal section would be very handy.


Post thoughts / feedback / support / not support.

They never respond and their personal emails aren't publicly available to members who have been banned.

This. The only downside is that there will be more work for the staff, i.e, posting stickies, rules, the format of appeals, etc..

I agree with this idea. Tbh this is the only forum I've been and that doesn't has the ban appeal section.

Something like that would work.

There should be solid evidence for banning every time, contact form works well and if you can add some staff members on skype aswell that might help aswell.

You get answered 1/100 times, you wouldn't know because you've never been banned I assume.

Tbh, I don't even know where the contact form even gets sent to. I already suggested a feature to the development team that would change the contact form.

Keep the contact form but code it to make a thread in a GMod+ section. Then once the admins have agreed to a resolution, they can email the user back the whats going to happen.

The bad thing about a ban appeal section available to the public is you will get everyone who knows fuck all about the situation in there giving their unneeded 2 cents.

Uhm, maybe the only people that would be able to post there will be the banned person and staff.
