There is like only 120 members on right now, and there is about 1200+ guests viewing RuneGear.

I've never hosted a fairly popular website/forum so I don't know how to go about doing this, but maybe find a way to have it say this (or something along these lines) to guests:

"Welcome to RuneGear! Sadly, you're not apart of this awesome and friendly community - If I were you, I would register right now to get access to tons of forums, talk about your favorite topics and just get to know everyone at RuneGear! (Did I also mention it's free and only takes about 2 minutes?) Sign up today!"

Make it so guests see some splash screen, or some incentive to register, because just "2 thread views" or whatever it is, doesn't seem to be getting too many people.


Please don't hate/troll or anything, I just want more users on Rune Gear.

And I do agree, guests can see 5 threads, AND the ones in the premium section @"Glen". This number should be decreased to something like 2 and only of certain sections.
 
Oh, my bad looked at the Past 24 hours, still - 120+ guests. Kind of a lot ;P.
 
I think that is a good idea, Bamf. It would help out with getting unregistered users to make accounts here. Might give them that little push they need. =p

And personally, when I first got directed to RuneGear I had no idea what was going on. In all honesty, I was kind of confused by the layout. Because I saw this:

And didn't see forums at the very end. Didn't even realize there were forums until a few hours later. I was just looking around the "Guides & Articles" section trying to find out how to sell my guide. lol

So maybe if the forums were the first thing people saw, they would think "I need to register so I can post stuff and talk to people!" I know that is what I would think. =)
 
My welcome message seems more....Friendlier xD. (No offense ;D)

- Change it to 1 thread views maybe? ;P
 
Me neither! I even complained. Oh well. But yeah. It would be nice if it was more obvious that people had to register and there's a forum on the site and the forum is where everyone talks.

I was just about to say I wonder that we have only bots registering with us. There are new members every single day, 5+ people registering but no one posts or stays on more than 30 seconds.

Kind of sad if Glen has bots registering to the forum. But if it's not him, my apologies.

Oh no, it's not him. It's everything from spam bots to random search engines browsing our site.

well b and c are as for A im not sure but it does think of sound like a bot .
 
There should be more visitors but the thing is we need to do something to get more people * just a suggestion giveaways or free things for a limited time and also we need to advertise the forums * Do we have a forum signature to use for advertising because i might be able to use it and get people :D

I think giveaways and free things brings the wrong crowd.

Well it has its ups and downs it might bring good or bad users it really depends person to person.
