Sleep Peralysis

I have recently been suffering from a thing called sleep paralysis, This is a sort of rare thing in which when I am sleeping I wake up put I cannot move my body. I cannot open my eyes or speak, But I am fully awake inside ( as if you closed your eyes now and could think perfectly). I can also hear perfect too. But with sleep paralysis people tend to hallucinate and hear things in the room with them. As if someone is walking I your room or breathing on you and you cannot do anything about it, I have not felt this yet but I know it will happen soon. :( With sleep paralysis you can either wake up or you can go onto a lucid dream (A dream where you can control what happens). While in the paralysis there is the feeling of a huge weight pushing down on your chest, some get to the point where you feel your being crushed. And as much as you try to shout for help no sound comes out. Also I have gotten the sensation of being grabbed by the ankle and pulled out of bed..
I don't look forward to sleeping now because I know this will happen!
Anyone else have this?

Sometimes when I am very tired and go into a "doze", I am awake but kind of have a stiffness in my body and can't move at all including opening my eyes. This rarely happens and it only lasts for a few seconds. I'm not sure if this is considered sleep paralysis though. Anyways, sorry to hear about your problem man.

I don't have sleep paralysis but I have read up about it. It's pretty freaky shit and I feel for you -- I personally would dread sleep too.

Lucid dreaming can be fun, though. I've managed to induce myself into a lucid dream but always checking my watch and other methods I've read of. Only managed to do it once, but it was fucking awesome.

Holy shit... I think this is what I have. I literally just made a thread that was kinda like this. Also I control my dreams every night. Is that a bad thing or what? lmao...

K I was just wondering because I control my dreams every night since all the way back. I think I have always been able to. I can dream whatever I want too.

I will tell you something that happened to me related to this. I woke up one night hallucinating to the sound of plates being smashed against the floor downstairs and people screaming. The only difference is that I was able to move and function properly unlike this sleep paralysis. The reason of this was probably because I fell asleep watching a horror movie.

i wish i could lucid dream :( But its actually good, it could also make you smarter. I think they said albert einstein used to have lucid dreams. It also uses the brains full potential something like that
