We go blocks as well, so it's like A = First period etc.

Yea it is recommended but you have to choose to take it
Unless hes is in French Immersion but yea He doesn't talk like he is

I've heard many times from some colleagues of my own that French isn't that hard of a language to learn. Especially if you know some Spanish, or Italian.
