Hey guys, I like to skype chat while gaming in general, and doing it while on RS is pretty enjoyable for me. When i go into a big cc i usualy ask if anyoen would like to skype w/ me and i always get the same stupid reaction:

*myusername* IS PHISHING NO ONE SKYPE WITH HIM YOU'LL GET HACKED.

They think connecting with someone through skype gives out your information even though skype servers are secure. -.- Unless you download something sent through skype is another story.
It has happensevery time so now i just say it to see how many people accuse me of phishing.

Anyone like to skype while playing RS? (no 12 year olds plz haha )

Yeah man some people are pretty stupid, it's just they're not people used to talking to them and anything that seems so good to be true they assume they're computer is going to blow up from it.
 
I don't simply because I think its weird to share that with a person I've never met. A lot of people do try and phish by skype though and the thing is you can get someone's IP from skype thats why they freak out. Just ignore them.
 
My comp is messed, I installed an IP Changer in the passed that was suppose to only work when it was active now it's permanent, cbf changing it, doesn't seem like that much of a problem.
 
Thats the thing. Okay you have my ip.. and? What are you going to do hack me with my ip? haha.

ANYWAY, im not making anyone do anything IM simply asking. Just pointing out people don't even attempt to chat with anyone cause they are scared of the things they don't know o.o
 
Well, knowing someones real IP is a tad dangerous if the other person knows what to do, It shows they're exact location, they're log times and all, it's also the way a user can connect to they're computer, consider it as a tunnel.

Yeah and I understand you're just after someone to chat with that you have something in common with. (Runegear/Runescape/Maybe More)

Exact location? Unless you actually know a hell of a lot and I don't mine skid-ware you can't find the exact location, I'll give you my IP and all you will find is where my ISP is and/or VPN IP.
 
Finding there EXACT location is near impossible, that skiddy website is feeding you bs.

Exactly, google wouldn't allow a website which is very easily accessible trace an IP.
 
Honestly, I love skype while playing RS, and there are methods of getting peoples IPs through skype.
If people talk shit they (usually) deserve to get hit. :p
 
Add the skype in my signature.
 
I'm usually in skype with 2-5 people.
