I just wanted to know if I should buy a jtag. i know a couple things about jtag's already. Im looking to get one and get the DemoN. If you did not know, the chip allows you to switch from Jtag to retail all on one xbox because they cant go online anymore. Any suggestions?

It sounds like a good idea if you have the money.. I've been wanting one for some time.. Also, with the Demon chip, does that mean that you don't need two consoles to make it so you can host lobbies in mw2 and shit? Or do you still need a retail to infect a specific account?

I would recommend a RGH for Mw2 xp lobbys or a XDK for Mw3 Lobbys i personally dont care for jtags :)

Your choice. I dont see the need for them.

...Wow. Anyway, Jtags are wonderful and the options regarding what you can do with them are endless. That being said, for the average joe i would not Recommend a jtag. You need to have a passion for modding in order to go beyond mw2 lobbies. If you just wanted one to host lobbies with that would be a large waste of money, as it would get old quick. Ask anybody who previously owned a jtag, they probably hosted a few Mw2 lobbies and quickly got over it. If you are like me however, and you love coding and creating new patches and working with different ideas/concepts then a jtag/XDK/RGH would be perfect for you. If you don't know how to code but you would like to learn then that's fine too! everyone starts somewhere, learn C#/C++ and watch some tutorials on youtube regarding how to make basic infection patches (thats what i did) It will help you get a feel for what you're doing, then once a bit more experienced move on to editing menu's..until you can create one from another menu base. As far as which one to get, it all depends on what you're willing to spend and how dedicated you are. If you were all out dedicated then go for a XDK (devkit) but im going to assume you're not so in that case buy a RGH. They are reliable, and they can do everything a jtag can do.

Best of luck with your Jtag journey!

you still need a 2nd xbox sadly. only because you have to turn of your xbox and switch to retail, removing all infections from what I heard

I actually did want to make my own patches and see what i'm capable of. From what i heard from a friend making patches isn't as hard as it looks. Just like almost everything else in life, you have to learn at some point in time. thanks for the tips:)

Don't buy one, there a huge pain in the ass. All they do is RROD/Break if your going to get something get a Jailbroken PS3 if you already have a PS3, JTAG's are pointless now, you can only bring .dll's online for now, that will probally be patched to. If you want to bring patches online you have to pay for a Overpriced Method.

I could care less about online modding. i like messing with friends in system link( usually we get like 7 systems in) and i can troll around with a mod menu and do homebrew for myself. i might look into a rgh or a xdk after research on Jtags
