Should I allow guests to post in "The Hut"?

I agree with steelmob and paradox, I think this is a good idea. So, we should try this out for one week and if it works good allow it, if it fails so be it, remove it.
 
I think this will help post count a lot.
Also, we have a good enough staff that they can monitor for spam and LQP.
I think we should try it out.
 
Yes, go for it. I have seen opinions on both sides but I think we should try this.
 
Ok My thoughts on this...

YES, BUT they need to be very limited on the rules for them. To post they MUST put in a security code provided then have a character limit of at least 50... If not more. This will allow more post and limit what they can post.. Then we can try it and if it gets out of hand we can remove it for a while. Then once we get a better system we can reopen... So lets at least try it before we knock it.

that sounds like a good idea but y the high char. limit =/ most spammers/bots usually have a good amount of words to spam about XD
 
Don't. All cons have been brought up. Just don't
 
You might get more posts and traffic, but you'd also get a lot more people spamming and advertising their shitty forums.
 
No because first of all that causes guests to have conflicts with other users. And I think if you wanna make a thread or post you join. We need the posts and we need the members if we ever want to reach the status of HF.

It seems that it's staff who are backing down on this.

It's your job to patrol the Forum and junk any threads and posts like this.
We have enough mods and staff to handle anything thrown at us through a full day.

Don't side step your duties.

My opinion. Test it, see what happens. It has potential to bring a lot of posts and threads. (Spam or not)

Yeah, besides, I'm on here almost all day; whether it be on my phone or on my computer. I will use my report a post power all day long if need be! :eek:mg: I GOT THIS!
 
I don't think you should it will affect the forum in bad ways.

It will cause a lot of spamming.

Users would have less reason to sign up if they can reply to threads as guests.

Only the hut. Not the rest of the Board.
It would give guests perhaps the chance to think wow nice community I'll give it a go.
As currently they can't even read threads.
