In January 2013, I realized I wanted to change. I was tired of being the funny fat kid, cut all fast food/soda/junk food out of my eating habits, and began going to the gym 5-6 days a week.
Most people give up pretty early on if they go from being fairly inactive exercise wise to eating healthy and going to the gym 5-6 days a week, but I was determined to make this change in my life and once I started seeing results and getting the compliments and people started noticing, there was no stopping.
Long story short, 10 months later I have lost about 105 pounds, currently sitting at about 190, still some fat to go, but also gaining muscle to replace said fat which will increase my weight. Once it's all said and done (Going to the gym and eating healthy should never have an end date, it's a lifestyle change that you should continue to follow even after you've hit your goal weight, that's how you can avoid the weight coming back) I hope to be around 210 or so but lean, with muscle.
Since losing the weight people definitely treat me alot differently, in a better way. I feel happier and better, being outside in the hot summer heat I don't get sweaty like I used to with all that extra weight being carried around with me. Was also nice to be able to wear the style of clothes I wanted to wear, going from 3XL Shirts and size 46 Pants, to L-XL Shirts (Depending how I want it to fit), and size 34-36 pants.
I love hearing about other peoples success stories, so post yours here, or maybe this post or some others have motivated you and you are just starting out now, Post about what your plan is and your goal! I'll help anyone out the best I can if they have any questions, not saying I'm some fitness guru or anything but I mean from personal experience I'll help you out as much as I can.
