When I first watched Saw 1 (way... back...) I thought it was going to be just another horror series trying to push stuff we've already seen, but I think it's really worked itself out. It has a good plot, a good amount of good, and a real meaning to it... with that said, other than the original Saw, I think Saw 6 was less than it could have been. The plot was decent and it had a few twists but it wasn't really what I was looking forward too.
