The United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom have all stated that they will back Ukraine up if Russia starts to enforce bloodshed or war.

Russia will be fucked but I don't think they'll stop until they get what they want.
People have to take in mind, Russia is a supplier for gas and is the 3rd top supplier for gas in Europe.

Yes 3rd not 1st more than half of crude oil that comes into the United States and European Countries comes from the middle east, even with Russia out of the gas game we'll do just fine. Or so I hope to believe but if this goes down for real don't freak out and wonder why gas prices have raised.

Yeah it is a bit strange, though I don't think they are really "open people". Who knows? They could be making secret plans, or perhaps they really don't want a world war, but wanted Crimea back, so they're not going to say much so that they aren't too provocative. So many things could easily go wrong with just words being misinterpreted.
